Now in his 20th year of practice, William J. Bill began his career as a criminal defense lawyer for the Legal Aid Society where he gained substantial trial experience defending individuals who could not afford to pay for their own defense. An advocate for justice, Bill's substantial efforts on behalf of his clients have resulted in significant monetary awards for the injured individuals that he has represented, including being one of less than 1% of attorneys in America with a verdict of a million dollars. Bill has a Bachelor of Science from Syracuse University's Newhouse School and a Juris Doctor from Hofstra University School of Law in 1995 where he was honored with the William F. Levine Award for the top trial advocate in his graduating class. Bill began his legal career at the New York County Legal Aid Society before moving on to his chosen career in civil litigation. After training with two of New York City's personal injury firms, he opened William J. Maniatis LLC in 2003. He is admitted to the bars of the State of New York and the State of New Jersey. He is also admitted to the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the United States District Court of New Jersey.
