Brian D. Gottlieb, Esq. is a Shareholder at Gottlieb Wagner, where he leads the firm’s Commercial Litigation and Family Law Divisions. Mr. Gottlieb brings a diverse and accomplished legal background to the law firm, with extensive experience representing clients in complex commercial and contract disputes in both state and federal courts. His practice also encompasses real estate litigation, probate litigation, foreclosure defense, family law, and landlord–tenant matters. Mr. Gottlieb began his legal career at one of Fort Lauderdale’s premier boutique commercial litigation firms, where his skill, dedication, and courtroom acumen earned him partnership in 2011. During his tenure, he gained substantial trial experience and successfully handled numerous complex civil litigation matters.
In 2015, Mr. Gottlieb joined a prominent and expanding South Florida firm to establish and lead its Commercial Litigation and Family Law Divisions. Mr. Gottlieb’s success in expanding the firm’s Commercial Litigation and Family Law Divisions and his leadership of the South Florida branch led to his promotion to partner in 2021 and shareholder in 2022. During his tenure, Mr. Gottlieb tried numerous jury and bench cases to verdict and is recognized for his strategic approach, strong advocacy, and commitment to achieving favorable outcomes for his clients.
Mr. Gottlieb was raised in South Florida and obtained his B.S. from Florida State
University in 2000. He earned his J.D. from Nova Southeastern Shepard Broad College of Law, where he served as an associate editor of Nova Law Review, and graduated magna cum laude. He is rated “AV Preeminent® 5.0” by Martindale Hubbell under that company’s nationwide attorney peer review system the highest rating achievable for both legal abilities and ethics.
He is a top-rated Business Litigation attorney, selected as a Rising Star in 2017 and 2018 by the Super Lawyers Committee at Thomson Reuters.Only 2.5% of all attorneys in the state of Florida are selected annually as Rising Stars by the committee at Thomson Reuters. Mr. Gottlieb resides in Weston with his wife and two sons. He is a member of Weston Rotary and enjoys spending time with his family when not working.
