Brian J. O'Connor, Esq., is a New York City trial lawyer handling personal injury litigation, including construction accidents, catastrophic injury cases, motor vehicle accidents, premises liability and police misconduct. Brian is often retained by other lawyers as trial counsel due to his extensive trial experience. He is a member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocate Forum which has been recognized as one of the most prestigious groups of trial lawyers in the United States. He is also a member of Trial Masters, the New York State Trial Lawyers Association and the American Association for Justice. Brian earned his Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1993 and received his law degree, cum laude, from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 1997. Brian began his legal career in 1997 as an Assistant Corporation Counsel and was then promoted to Senior Counsel for the City of New York where he gained extensive trial experience taking verdicts in all types of personal injury matters. In 2001, he joined Cozen O'Connor, an international law firm with more than 500 attorneys where he focused on catastrophic injury cases, construction accidents and toxic torts. In 2004, Brian left the large law firm to join a small practice and focus on serving clients on a much more personal level. He took many cases to trial and verdict, obtaining substantial awards for his clients. In 2006, Brian founded The O'Connor Law Firm after determining that he could provide better personal service to his clients than larger law firms due to his complete control over all aspects of his representation, including limiting the number of cases he accepts. This allows The O'Connor Law Firm to be as accessible to its clients as possible and to provide the best legal representation available. If you or a loved one has been injured due to the negligence of another and need a lawyer or are not sure, I encourage you to call The O'Connor Law Firm so that you may understand your rights. All initial consultations are free and there is no fee unless we win your case.
