Katie is an attorney at CaseyGerry. She works with the Complex Litigation team. She received her J.D. from California Western School of Law where she competed on the negotiation team and was honored for her pro bono time spent mediating small claims and volunteering for Elder Law & Advocacy. She graduated from Cornell University with a B.S. in Industrial and Labor Relations and was a Division 1 pole-vaulter. Prior to law school, Katie lived in Washington, D.C. gaining experience as a compensation and collective bargaining analyst, reporting and writing on the Daily Labor Report for the Bureau of National Affairs, assisting with patent prosecution for Sterne, Kessler, Goldstein and Fox, and managing international legal affairs for Feld Entertainment.
Prior to joining CaseyGerry, Katie defended medical malpractice claims and then litigated complex trust, estate, and financial elder abuse matters.
Katie currently serves on the San Diego Probate Bench Bar Committee and the Conference of California Bar Associations for the Probate Attorneys of San Diego. She is also counsel to government retirement systems.
When not working, Katie can be found running along the beach, singing, attending shows, or doing yoga.
