Courtney Sanders is a lifelong resident of Madison County, Mississippi. She attended the Madison County Public School System and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology from Mississippi State in 2016. Courtney enrolled in Mississippi College School of Law in the fall of 2016. She took a leave of absence in 2018 and moved to Hernando, Mississippi, in order to help her mother who was battling breast cancer. After her mother completed a successful treatment regime for her cancer, Courtney finished at Mississippi College School of Law on the Dean’s List. Courtney is the mother to her little boy, Roman, and her cat, Fran.

Within two months of obtaining her license to practice law, Courtney was immersed in complex civil and criminal cases. She wrote a Sentencing Memorandum for a female facing 4-5 years in Federal Prison. The Sentencing Memorandum helped the client leave Court with one (1) year of house arrest. In a complex civil rights case, she has helped secure multiple wrongful death settlements for families of loved ones. In one case, Courtney obtained a $500,000.00 wrongful death settlement for a family who lost their father due to unconstitutional jail practices.

Courtney's interests are in defending and representing the underrepresented. Courtney excels at Expungements for her Clients, clearing their arrest and conviction record and restoring her client to the lawful status and position that he/she occupied before their involvement in the criminal justice system. Courtney, along with a team of exceptional attorneys, secured Anthony Fox's release from jail after he was wrongfully convicted for manslaughter and sentenced to prison.

Courtney is driven and enjoys learning about the complex legal system that we work in every day. Courtney enjoys defending people who are charged with criminal offenses; she understands that good people do bad things, and she understands the future consequences that a criminal conviction may have upon one's future. Courtney especially finds satisfaction and her "why" in her civil cases when she is able to obtain full and fair monetary damages for those who have been injured, or for family members who have lost a loved one. While no amount of money can bring a loved one back, Courtney will fight to hold those accountable for her Clients and their families.
