Cristina García-Chappell is a distinguished attorney, licensed to practice in both Mexico and Texas. A native of Tampico, Tamaulipas, Mexico, Cristina graduated from Anáhuac University in 2006. Upon completing her degree, she relocated to Austin, where she immediately began contributing to the local Hispanic community. Cristina commenced her career at the Mexican Consulate in Austin, serving as a Visa Agent and Power of Attorney Coordinator. Her diplomatic career advanced when she was promoted to the Mexican Embassy in Beijing, China, where she held the position of Chief of Staff to the Ambassador and Press Officer. During her tenure, she was responsible for overseeing the media coverage of the 2008 Olympic and Paralympic Games, managing press conferences with Mexican athletes and coordinating international press relations.

In 2009, Cristina returned to Austin and joined Pastrana Law Firm, initially working as a litigation paralegal and office administrator. Driven by a profound commitment to both her community and legal practice, she pursued her law degree and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 2019. Cristina became a partner at the firm, which was subsequently renamed Pastrana & García Injury Law. Currently, she is the sole owner and managing attorney of García Injury Law.

Cristina's legal practice is focused on advocating for the rights of accident victims, particularly within the Hispanic community. Her expertise encompasses a wide array of personal injury cases, including workplace accidents, vehicular collisions, and medical malpractice, with a strong emphasis on securing fair compensation for her clients in complex legal matters.

Beyond her practice, Cristina remains deeply committed to public service. She is actively involved in pro bono work, providing legal services to individuals with limited access to justice. As a member of the Legal Assistance Program for Mexicans Abroad (PALE) at the Mexican Consulate in Austin, she dedicates a minimum of 50 hours annually to support underserved communities.

Cristina’s exemplary career and dedication to advocating for the Hispanic community were formally recognized by the Mexican Government in 2024, when she was awarded the Distinguished Mexican Abroad Medal for her distinguished contributions and leadership abroad.

Her leadership, legal acumen, and unwavering commitment to justice have established Cristina as a respected figure within the legal community. With more than 15 years of experience, she continues to serve her clients with the highest degree of professionalism and integrity, ensuring that they receive the justice and compensation they deserve.
