Damon R. Pourciau is the founder of Pourciau Law Firm, located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He focuses his law practice primarily on helping plaintiffs throughout the state who have contracted mesothelioma and other diseases caused by previous exposure to asbestos.
A native of Baton Rouge, Mr. Pourciau attended Louisiana College and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 2002. He then pursued his legal education at Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center and was subsequently awarded both a Juris Doctor and a Bachelor of Civil Law. Mr. Pourciau was admitted to practice law before all of the state courts of Louisiana in 2008.
Mr. Pourciau has earned numerous large verdicts and settlements for his clients. He is a life member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum. Both of these organizations are invitation-only, and memberships are limited to those trial attorneys who have obtained settlements or jury awards in those amounts on behalf of their clients. There are approximately 4,000 members across the country. Mr. Pourciau and his firm have also been featured in articles in Time, Newsweek and other national publications for their work in asbestos-related litigation.
An active participant in several legal organizations, Mr. Pourciau is a member of both the Louisiana State Bar Association and the Louisiana Association for Justice. He is equally dedicated to giving back to his community, and he has a special focus on helping organizations that support people with cancer. Along with the other attorneys who work at his firm, Mr. Pourciau actively supports the American Cancer Society and Susan G. Komen.
