I’m Daniel Justus Solinsky, founder and lead attorney at Solinsky & Company. When I say “Justus is my middle name,” I mean it literally and professionally. My entire career has been shaped by the pursuit of justice and the responsibility that comes with standing up for others.
As a Bronx Prosecutor
I began my legal career as an Assistant District Attorney at the Bronx County District Attorney’s Office. Being a Bronx prosecutor remains one of the greatest sources of pride in my career. It was there that I learned how to be a fierce trial lawyer. I prosecuted violent crimes including attempted murder, armed robbery, gun possession, and assault. I built a reputation for being tough in the courtroom, but also for being personable and relatable.
To me, the heart of great trial advocacy is connecting with a jury and speaking for your client in a way they can truly understand.
As a Law Clerk
After my years as a prosecutor, I served as a Principal Law Clerk to the Administrative Justice of the Bronx County Supreme Court. In that role, I authored court decisions and advised judges on complex legal issues.
My writing style comes from those years in the courthouse. I learned what judges focus on, how they analyze cases, and what support they need to make fair and informed rulings.
As a Civil Trial Attorney
When I transitioned into civil practice, I became a trial attorney for several of the most respected law firms in New York. I’ve secured multi million dollar settlements and verdicts in cases involving municipal liability, construction accidents, motorcycle crashes, and other serious matters.
There is no better feeling than walking out of a courtroom with a client who finally feels heard and knows justice was delivered.
As a Lecturer
For more than 13 years, I’ve taught other attorneys across New York as a lecturer for the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers. My annual CLE programs focus on municipal liability, and I have also been invited to speak on jury selection, depositions, and legal ethics. Members of the academy can watch my past programs and attend my upcoming lectures.
I’m proud to say that I’ve filled every major role inside a courtroom. I’ve been a prosecutor, a plaintiff’s attorney, a defense attorney, and a law clerk. Every experience shapes the way I advocate for the people who trust me with their most important cases.
