Darron E. Berquist joined The Lanier Law Firm as an associate in 2012 and practices in the areas of asbestos litigation, toxic torts, mass torts, pharmaceutical litigation and product liability. Prior to joining The Lanier Law Firm, Mr. Berquist was an associate at the law firm of Wilentz, Goldman & Spitzer in New York, where he focused his practice on class actions and representing individuals suffering from asbestos-induced diseases, such as mesothelioma and lung cancer. Mr. Berquist has also represented individuals who have been injured by medical devices, medical malpractice and lead poisoning.
Originally from Columbus, Ohio, Mr. Berquist is a 2007 graduate of the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where he was the Business Editor of the Cardozo Journal of Conflict Resolution and represented low-income and disabled individuals through the law school's Bet Tzedek Legal Services Clinic. While in law school, Mr. Berquist also worked for the Litigation Bureau of the Office of the New York State Attorney General. He received his bachelor's degree magna cum laude from the University of Kentucky in 2004.
Mr. Berquist is licensed to practice in Connecticut, New Jersey and New York, as well as the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Northern and Southern Districts of New York.
