Experience - Ms. Hawkins maintains a substantial general litigation practice. In her family law practice, she assists clients with dissolutions of marriage, custody and visitation, child support and orders of protection. Ms. Hawkins also handles criminal defense, juvenile and guardianship matters. Ms. Hawkins also assists clients with a variety of litigation matters including consumer litigation, real estate litigation and personal injury.
She is affiliated with the American Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association, Madison County Bar Association, Chicago Bar Association, Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, Alpha Sigma Nu and Phi Alpha Delta and received her BA from Millikin University, MA and doctoral study from the University of Iowa and her JD from St. Louis University.
Ms. Hawkins grew up in Madison County and attended Bethalto High School. She has worked for an insurance defense firm, a plaintiff's medical malpractice attorney and for the State's Attorney's Office of Madison County, Illinois. Ms. Hawkins and her husband reside in Edwardsville, Illinois and have two dogs. She enjoys music, gardening and travel.
