He then attended Arizona State University College of Law where he distinguished himself in oral argument competition and as a participating member of the Trial Advocacy Team. Mr. Cates also has a wealth of life experience ranging from the oil fields of Wyoming to various sales positions in the valley that is extremely valuable in the defense of his diverse clientele in Arizona. Mr. Cates received special media instruction from Fred Francis, the two-time Emmy Award winning journalist who now trains professionals in handling the media.
