Elizabeth Barreto was born and raised in Puerto Rico, where she dreamed of becoming an attorney. Determined to turn that dream into reality, she moved to the United States after high school, embracing every challenge and opportunity along the way.
Early in her career, Elizabeth worked for major corporations, gaining invaluable insight into their defense strategies. This experience fueled her passion for advocating on behalf of individuals, rather than large companies. Elizabeth earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Pre-Law with two minors from Seton Hall University, graduating Cum Laude. She then obtained her Juris Doctor Degree of Law with Honors, further enriching her legal education by studying at the University of Puerto Rico School of Law, Ottawa University School of Law in Ontario, Canada, and the University of Connecticut School of Law.
With extensive experience in both state and federal courts in New Jersey, Elizabeth has worked alongside judges and in prestigious national law firms. Over the years, she has aggressively fought for her clients, securing millions of dollars in settlements and verdicts in serious personal injury and catastrophic injury cases, including traumatic injuries.
