A native of Tarpon Springs, Florida, located near Tampa Bay, George is a proud alumnus of Florida State University in Tallahassee, where he earned his undergraduate degree. Subsequently, he pursued his legal education at St. Thomas University School of Law in Miami Gardens, Florida, obtaining his Juris Doctorate.
Following law school, George had the privilege of contributing to the legal field as an Assistant Public Defender at the renowned Miami-Dade Public Defender’s Office for five years. During his tenure, he adeptly represented a diverse clientele, handling cases ranging from misdemeanors like DUI and battery to complex felonies, including organized fraud, drug trafficking, robbery, and attempted homicide. George’s invaluable courtroom experience encompassed over 35 trials, both before juries and in non-jury settings.
George channels his extensive trial background towards championing the rights of cyclists and individuals who have suffered injuries due to the negligence of others. Additionally, he passionately defends those wrongfully accused of crimes, bringing a unique blend of legal acumen and advocacy to his practice.
An active member of the legal community, George holds memberships with the Florida Bar, the United States District Court for the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida, the Florida Bicycle Association, the Broward County Bar Association, the Broward County Trial Lawyers Association, and the Florida Justice Association. He is also affiliated with the Broward and Miami-Dade chapters of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (FACDL) and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL).
Beyond his legal commitments, George actively contributes to his community. He is an active member of the St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Fort Lauderdale and presides over the Hollywood Chapter of the American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association (AHEPA). Additionally, George is a member of Rotary International and the current chair of the Rotary Satellite Club of Fort Lauderdale South Sunset, showcasing his dedication to philanthropy and community service.
In his leisure time, George indulges his passion for writing, cycling, triathlons, and travel alongside his wife Irene. Together, they enjoy the company of their dog Theo. Notably, George has actively participated in and fundraised for charitable events such as Tour de Broward, Bike MS Breakaway to Key Largo/Palm Beaches, and South Beach Triathlon, showcasing his commitment to both personal pursuits and giving back to the community. His participation in various triathlons, including the NYC Triathlon, Miami Man Triathlon, Challenge Daytona, Escape to Miami Triathlon, Las Olas Triathlon, Tarpon Springs Rotary Triathlon, and Humana 5k, highlights his dedication to an active and philanthropic lifestyle.
