Gerald F. Strubinger, Jr., is the managing shareholder of the firm. He concentrates his practice in the area of workers’ compensation, representing the injured and disabled.
He is certified as a specialist in the practice of workers’ compensation law by the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Section on Workers’ Compensation Law as authorized by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.
Attorney Strubinger graduated from Jim Thorpe High School in 1984 and received his Bachelor of Arts degree from College Misericordia (presently Misericordia University) in December 1988. He then graduated in 1992 from the Harrisburg Campus of Widener University School of Law. Following graduation, Attorney Strubinger was admitted to practice before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court that same year (1992). He is also admitted to practice before the United States Middle District of Pennsylvania (1994), the United States Eastern District of Pennsylvania (1999), and the United States Supreme Court (2000).
With more than 25 years of legal experience, Attorney Strubinger has seen the inside of many courtrooms. He has represented clients before juries in both civil and criminal matters. His state and federal courtroom experience ranges from civil automobile collisions, slip and falls, and declaratory judgment matters involving insurance coverage. Attorney Strubinger’s criminal jury appearances vary from homicide, assault, indecent assault, and drug related crimes.
During his legal career he has served as solicitor for the Carbon County Sheriff (1996 – present), solicitor for the Carbon County Area Agency on Aging (2004 – present), Carbon County Board of Viewers (1999 – present), the conflict solicitor for the Carbon County Tax Assessment Office (2004 – 2014), the solicitor for the Mahoning Valley Country Club (2002 -2005), Special Counsel to the Carbon County Commissioners (1996), and a conflicts counsel for Carbon County (1993 – 2004).
In addition to these legal services, Attorney Strubinger was the Carbon County Bar Association’s Chancellor (2016-2017) and also sat on its Board of Directors (2012 – 2017). He has previously served as the Associations’ Secretary (1993 – 2007). He is also a member of the Lehigh County Bar Association, Monroe County Bar Association, Northampton County Bar Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association, Pennsylvania Association for Justice (also its workers’ compensation section), and American Association for Justice.
Attorney Strubinger has served as a lecturer or panel member regarding continuing legal education. Specifically, he has participated in seminars regarding workers’ compensation and personal injury.
While keeping busy in his legal practice, Attorney Strubinger is committed to his community. He serves as a member of the Board of Directors for Camp Cadet, Troop N, Pennsylvania State Police, Carbon, Columbia, Monroe, & Luzerne Counties (2006 – present); a member of the Board of Directors, NCMIC Foundation, Inc. (2008 – present) and the Board’s President (2014 – 2015); Trustee, Lake Harmony Volunteer Fire Company (2021-Present); a member of the Carbon County Democratic Executive Board (1995 – present); Democratic State Committeeman for Carbon County (2003 – 2010); Democratic Committeeman for Mahoning Township (1997 – 2000); a member of the Lehighton Democratic Club (1995 – Present); Chairman for the Scholarship of Need Golf Tournament for Saints Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church (2000 – 2007); Chairman of the Mahoning Township Zoning Board (1998 – 2007); a member of the Board of Directors for the Carbon County Friends of Animals (2000 – 2001); President of Lehighton Touchdown Football Club (2015 – 2017); a member of the St. Thomas More Society (2011 – present); and a member of the Knights of Columbus, 3rd Degree, Damien Council 598 and the Council’s Advocate (2011 – present).
As a result of Attorney Strubinger’s continued involvement with his community, he was honored by his alma mater. In 2004 College Misericordia presented him with the Alumni Medallion Award. The award is given to alumni for outstanding community service, commitment in strengthening family life and distinguished professional contributions.
