Gregory Bubalo
Becker Law Office - Louisville
Louisville,
 KY

Gregory J. Bubalo is known nationally for his relentless pursuit of justice. As owner and managing partner of Becker Law Office, a subsidiary of Bubalo Law PLC, he is involved in all aspects of personal injury, including: motorcycle, motor vehicle and trucking accidents; medical malpractice and nursing home abuse; premises liability; drug product and medical device litigation; wrongful death; and mass tort lawsuits. When a neurosurgeon suffered career-ending injuries due to a slip and fall at a hospital, Greg secured a record-breaking verdict in Indiana for $16,950,000, which was later affirmed on appeal, See St. Mary Med. Ctr. v. Loomis, 783 N.E.2d 274 (Ind. App. 2002).

He began his career as a Plaintiffs' Lawyer by filing multiple lawsuits throughout the county, for a deadly side effect caused by the negligence of a diet pill manufacturer. Since 2016, his recoveries against drug and medical device manufacturers alone have amounted to over $100,000,000. As a result of his success, Greg was listed in The Best Lawyers in America in 2022 and again as 2024 as a Lawyer of the Year. He has been a Board Certified in Civil Trial and Pre-Trial Practice by the National Board of Trial Advocacy ("NBTA") since 2022. See www.nbtalawyers.org.

Greg has represented Plaintiffs in mass tort cases, including multiple jury trials in multiple jurisdictions. See, e.g., Fraser v. Wyeth, Inc., 992 F. Supp. 2d 68 (D. Conn. 2014); Stribling v. Wyeth, Superior Court of New Jersey, Bergen County, Docket No.: BER-L-2352-07 MT, where Greg presented technical pharmacological evidence to the jury, resulting in a verdict for Mrs. Stribling of $3,000,000 for pain and suffering damages; and, in Kohler v. Wyeth, Superior Court of the State of California, County of Los Angeles, Central Civil West, Diet Drug Case No. DD 004290, where he represented a young lawyer with a potentially fatal, progressive disease, Primary Pulmonary Hypertension (“PPH”), broadcast streaming live on the web between 3/4/09 to 4/22/09, see Lexis’ Courtroom Cast (formerly branded Court TV Trial Video) archive. Coverage includes full trial video from March 4, 2009 through April 22, 2009, witness lists, attorneys, and case metadata. https://courtroomcast.lexisnexis.com/proceedings/diet-drug-cases-trial-2009-03-04/lawyer/wyeth-pharmaceutical-inc.

Greg appeared, briefed and successfully argued against Defendant Bayer’s preemption defenses in the Indiana Court of Appeals. Bayer Corp. v. Leach, No. 19A-CT-625, 2019 Ind. App. LEXIS 583 (Ct. App. Dec. 31, 2019). He represented 100’s of women suffering from Bayer’s defective birth control device, Essure®. Greg has worked on multiple mass tort cases, including Medtronic’s InfuseTM Bone Graft system, GranuFlo®, Reglan®, and others.

Greg is licensed in Kentucky and Indiana, as well as multiple federal courts. He is a member of the Kentucky Justice Association (“KJA”) where he serves on the board of governors, and is an member of the American Association for Justice (“AAJ”). Although he has a reputation as a fierce advocate for plaintiffs, Greg actually started his career on the other side of the courtroom. He was a medical malpractice defense attorney for years. That experience has proven invaluable in his work today, where he applies what he knows about defensive strategies.

Greg and his firms are active in charitable pursuits in Kentucky. For instance, Becker Law serves as the as a Community Champion partner for Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) in Kentucky. Governor Andy Beshear has appointed him as the Chairman of the Board for the Kentucky Performing Arts which administers the Kentucky Center for the Arts and other performance venues. These are only a few examples of the commitment that Becker Law has to give back to the communities it serves.
