Mr. Schiffer was born and raised in Houston, Texas. He received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of San Diego in San Diego, CA. Then after a successful career in business, he decided to attend law school at Texas Southern University in Houston, TX. Mr. Schiffer consistently ranked within the top 5% of his class, receiving Dean’s Honors every year, and ultimately graduating with law school’s highest academic honors, Summa Cum Laude.
Prior to Schiffer Law Firm, Mr. Schiffer previously interned at the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Texas, where he worked primarily in the violent crimes’ division. Further, Mr. Schiffer tirelessly worked throughout the entirety of his law school career with some of the most respected names in personal injury law, both in Texas and nationwide. This invaluable experience included everything from federal death penalty cases to nationwide mass tort and class action litigation.
Mr. Schiffer is a member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, Houston Trial Lawyers Association, Construction Law Foundation of Texas, Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, Harris County Criminal Lawyers Association, Houston Young Lawyers Association, and the Texas Bar Association.
Not only is Mr. Schiffer a skillful attorney, he has an extensive background in business, high-value negotiations, and entrepreneurship that extends well before he decided to attend law school; receiving Houston Business Journal’s acclaimed Top 30 Under 30 Entrepreneurs award and HBJ’s Top 5 “Must Know” Houston Entrepreneurs among other honors.
When Paul and Jacob Schiffer are not passionately advocating for their clients, they both enjoy fishing, hunting, reading, scuba diving, traveling, and spending time with their large family.
