
Jay Perry is an experienced trial attorney, with a background in both criminal and civil litigation. Prior to forming Ray & Perry, PLLC, Jay was a founding shareholder in the Starkville, Mississippi based Perry, Winfield & Wolfe, P.A. Jay also worked in the boutique plaintiffs’ firm, The Langston Firm, where he was exclusively a personal injury and mass tort lawyer. Jay helped settle in excess of $250,000,000 on behalf of victims while with the Langston Firm. Jay also served as a law clerk with the Mississippi Supreme Court for former Chief Justice Edwin L. Pittman. He also practiced law in Jackson, Mississippi.
Previously, Jay was Director of Football Player Development for a Southeastern Conference school. He was also an Associate Athletic Director – Internal Affairs/Legislative Affairs, where he taught a “for-credit” class on Name, Image, and Likeness (“NIL”).
This is Jay’s 10th season as the sideline radio analyst for Learfield and Mississippi State University football. He also serves as sideline and color analyst for East Community College Football broadcasts.
Jay has three sons, Jack, Banks, and Larkin. Jay previously served as president of the Mississippi State University Oktibbeha County Alumni Association and on the board of the United Way of North Central Mississippi, where he was the campaign co-chair of the Professional Division.
