John LaMantia is the Managing Partner of the Chicago office of the firm. John has 26 years of experience as a trial attorney litigating personal injury cases from both the plaintiff and defense sides, with more than 35 jury verdicts as first chair trial attorney. John has represented clients in both the private and public sectors serving as Senior Managing Trial attorney and Assistant General Counsel in private practice and governmental entities before joining Wais, Vogelstein, Forman, Koch & Norman, LLC. He has recovered millions of dollars on behalf of injured clients, as well as obtaining favorable results defending against multi-million dollar medical malpractice actions

John’s experience from both the plaintiff and defense side of medical malpractice in multiple jurisdictions in the State of Illinois brings a unique and comprehensive understanding of how best to serve clients in seeking fair and just compensation. John earned his bachelor’s degree from Fordham University in New York City and then obtained his Juris Doctorate from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois.
In addition to his law practice, John has taught as an adjunct professor, as well as having lectured and published continuing legal education programs. He takes great pride in the time and service he has given to community coaching youth baseball and basketball, and mentoring students from St. Ignatius College Prep and the John Marshall Law School in the Chicagoland area.
