Jonel Metaj

Jonel Metaj is a trial attorney at Disparti Law Group who focuses his practice on representing individuals injured as a result of motor vehicle collisions, trucking accidents, premises liability, and other acts of negligence. He is committed to helping injured clients navigate the legal process and works tirelessly to obtain the compensation they deserve. 

Prior to joining Disparti Law Group, Jonel spent five years representing injured workers throughout the Chicago area in workers’ compensation matters. That experience provided him with an in-depth understanding of complex injury claims, medical evidence, and the long-term impact injuries have on individuals and their families.  

Jonel joined Disparti Law Group in September 2020 to help grow the firm’s litigation department. Since then, he has successfully represented clients through every stage of litigation, including numerous jury trials, arbitrations, mediations, and appeals. He has recovered millions of dollars for injured clients, including a recent $1.5 million settlement on behalf of a client who sustained serious injuries after being sideswiped by a semi-truck. 

In addition to his trial work, Jonel has successfully argued and prevailed before both the Illinois First District Appellate Court and the Illinois Supreme Court in Galarza v. Direct Auto Insurance Co., a significant insurance coverage case that expanded uninsured motorist protections for pedestrians and bicyclists throughout Illinois.
