Katherine “Katie” Laney graduated magna cum laude from John Carroll University in 2016, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology. Next, she attended law school at Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. She attained her Juris Doctor degree in 2019 and graduated magna cum laude.
Katie joined Elk + Elk as a law clerk in 2017. Before that, she served as a judicial extern to Judge Christopher A. Boyko at the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio. She also interned in the Juvenile Division of the Cuyahoga County Public Defender’s Office.
Originally from Youngstown, Ohio, Katie now resides in Fairview Park. She enjoys running, traveling, and spending time with her two dogs, Ru and Remy.
