Katie Reed, Attorney

Born and raised in Chattanooga, Katie Reed has always had a passion for helping others. Before law school, she worked as a victim services specialist with Mothers Against Drunk Driving in Tennessee, supporting families through the aftermath of impaired-driving crashes. She brings that same perspective to her clients today, many of whom are navigating the worst days of their lives.

Katie joined The McMahan Law Firm in 2021, the same year she earned her Juris Doctor. Her practice focuses on motor vehicle collisions, personal injury, workers' compensation, and Social Security Disability claims. In 2026, The National Trial Lawyers named her to its Top 40 Under 40 in Civil Plaintiff law.

Katie also leads the "Successful Lawyer" course at Lincoln Memorial University Duncan School of Law, where she helps law students prepare for practice. She is a member of the Brock-Cooper American Inn of Court, which promotes professionalism, civility, and ethics in the legal profession.
