Keith Vance is a native of the San Luis Valley, Colorado. He was raised on a cattle ranch near Manassa. He earned his undergraduate degree from Adams State College in 1994 and put himself through school by driving semi-trucks over the road during summer break. He earned his law degree from the University of Nebraska in 1997, graduating with honors.
Keith began practicing law in 1997 at the Colorado Springs firm of Wittman & McCord. There, he worked for various insurance companies, maintaining a statewide practice of defending negligent drivers that caused auto and truck collisions. He left that firm in 2000 and stopped defending negligent people and companies. He began helping injured people and has committed to never stop. Keith is licensed in Colorado. He is a member of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association, the Colorado Bar Association and the San Luis Valley Bar Association.
In 2005, Keith attended and graduated from Gerry Spence’s Trial Lawyers College, a month-long intensive trial school near Dubois, Wyoming. He has tried numerous jury and bench trials to verdict and has won several million dollars in damages for his clients.
In 2013, Keith became a “Board Certified Advocate” through the National Board of Trial Advocacy and received the National Board of Legal Specialty Certification. In 2015, Keith was honored to become a Colorado Super Lawyer. In 2016, Keith was reviewed by his peers and given the “AV-Preeminent” designation through Martindale-Hubbell and has enjoyed that honor every year thereafter.
Outside of the office, Keith is a proud husband and father of four children. He enjoys spending time with family and his German Shepherd. Favorite things to do outside the office are camping, hiking, fishing and anything in the outdoors. He subscribes to the notion that no amount of success in life can compensate for failure in the home.
