Lauren has been unwavering in her commitment to seeking justice for victims, having served as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney at the Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office in the Special Victims Unit, and as a clerk at the U.S. District Courts. As a former prosecutor with experience trying criminal cases, Lauren has first-hand experience of the intricate interplay between the civil and criminal justice systems. She recognizes the crucial importance of navigating the complex issues that arise at the intersection of these two legal realms. Her unique insight empowers her to provide comprehensive and strategic legal counsel tailored to each client. Through this work, Lauren has secured millions for sexual abuse victims through confidential settlements.
In addition to her work on Kansas City sexual abuse cases, Lauren specializes in handling catastrophic injury and child fatality cases. One of her most noteworthy cases she tried as a successful car accident lawyer in Kansas City was the Geiger v. McWhirt case, where a jury awarded her clients $50 million for the wrongful death of an 8-year-old boy and for injuries and trauma to his 6-year-old sister who survived the crash.
Lauren’s passion for the most vulnerable goes beyond the courtroom, where she serves on the Board of Directors for the Child Protection Center, which works to prevent, identify, and treat child abuse.
