As the daughter of a hard-working single mother, Malia Price understands there is no substitute for grit and determination. She brings those characteristics to her personal injury practice every day, tackling obstacles to deliver the best results for her clients.
Mrs. Price grew up in the Shoals area of Alabama. A first-generation college student, she earned a degree from the University of Alabama in Biological Anthropology. She began her legal career as a receptionist at a personal injury law firm, where she was inspired to attend law school. She worked full-time as a legal assistant while attending classes at night and on the weekend at the Birmingham School of Law, where she graduated summa cum laude and helped found the school’s first Women’s Association.
In October 2021, Ms. Price was admitted to the Alabama State Bar. A dedicated and innovative attorney with a strong passion for justice, Ms. Tartt has a proven track record in both state and federal courts, obtaining positive verdicts for her clients at trial, and notable rulings before the Supreme Court of Alabama.
She is a member of the Alabama Association for Justice (ALAJ), where she serves on the Emerging Leaders board, and is a member of the 2024 ELITE Leadership Academy Class. Additionally, Mrs. Price is an active member of the Birmingham Bar Association where she serves within the Women Lawyers Section as the Membership Chair.
Mrs. Price has been consistently recognized for her legal skills and leadership abilities, including designation as a B-Metro Top Women Attorney in November 2022. When she’s not in the courtroom, Malia enjoys volunteering with Girls, Inc. of Central Alabama, hiking and chasing down good live music.
