Marcus W. Chesnutt was born in Lumberton, North Carolina and was admitted to the Bar in 1978. He attended the University of North Carolina and the Cumberland School of Law of Sanford University. He was a former Senior Law Clerk to Chief U.S. District Court Judge John D. Larkins, Jr. Marc is a member of the Craven County and North Carolina Bar Associations and North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers. His main practice areas are criminal, traffic, and domestic. Marc lives in New Bern with his wife and two children. In his spare time, he enjoys boating, water skiing and snow skiing.
