Matt Bennett is an associate at Larkin Ingrassia PLLC, where he focuses his practice exclusively on criminal defense. He earned his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Roger Williams University School of Law in Rhode Island and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from King’s College in Pennsylvania, where he graduated summa cum laude.
A proud alumnus of Monroe-Woodbury, Matt began his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney, serving the communities of Sullivan and Orange Counties for over four years. During this time, he gained extensive trial experience, successfully handling cases ranging from attempted murder to narcotics possession and driving while intoxicated. His courtroom experience includes trials before juries, where he has secured favorable verdicts for the state.
Following his tenure as a prosecutor, Matt transitioned to criminal defense, working at another prominent Orange County law firm before joining Larkin Ingrassia PLLC. He is dedicated to providing clients with skilled representation, combining his deep understanding of criminal law with firsthand experience from both sides of the courtroom. Matt regularly handles criminal cases throughout the Hudson Valley, has argued before various appellate courts within the state, and regularly litigates administrative hearings before the New York State DMV.
