Michael Olowu’s journey is one of perseverance and triumph. Born and raised in Rivers State, Nigeria, he immigrated to the United States at 18 with just $500 in his pocket, no family, and no friends to lean on. Determined to succeed, he worked multiple jobs to put himself through college and law school. Graduating with honors from Tennessee State University, he earned his Juris Doctorate from Florida Coastal School of Law.
Starting his legal career at the Broward County State Attorney’s Office, Mr. Olowu quickly made a name for himself as a fearless prosecutor. His relentless pursuit of justice led him to try more than 40 cases in trial, often winning unwinnable cases, earning him the title of "trial convictor" in 2020 by the State Attorney’s Office newsletter, thanks to his outstanding trial count and conviction rate.
Before founding Olowu Law, P.A., Michael was an Associate at a prestigious trial firm in Miami, where he represented Fortune 500 companies in complex litigation, including Tort Defense, Tobacco Litigation, Commercial Litigation, and Medical Malpractice Defense. Today, at Olowu Law, P.A., he fights for those injured in accidents and those facing criminal charges, specializing in Premises Liability, Car Accidents, and Criminal Defense.
When you’re up against the system, you need someone who knows how it works—someone who’s been on both sides of the courtroom. No matter the injury, no matter the criminal charge, Michael Olowu is here to help. Don’t go it alone.
