Michael concentrates his practice in the areas of catastrophic auto, construction and premises injuries, medical and dental malpractice, nursing home negligence, workers compensation, civil rights 1983 actions, class actions, mass tort pharmaceutical litigation, and appellate practice. Michael has recovered millions of dollars for clients who have suffered injuries or wrongful death. He has extensive experience representing clients with post-traumatic fibromyalgia and has lectured and appeared on television to discuss this highly contested injury. He was the first attorney in Illinois to successfully recover a duty disability award for a police officer suffering from post-traumatic fibromyalgia.

He is a member of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, American Association for Justice, Illinois State Bar Association, Chicago Bar Association, Northwest Suburban Bar Association and Decalogue Society of Lawyers. He is Treasurer for the NWSBA. In addition he is co-chairman for the NWSBA Civil Litigation committee, and keeps the NWSBA members up to date on the latest laws, cases, ethical issues and trial technique. He is also on the 7th Circuit E-Discovery Pilot Program which is at the forefront of rule changes throughout the country on electronic discovery. Michael is also the co-chair for Decalogue Society of Lawyers' Committee Against Anti-Semitism.

Michael performs judicial screenings for the NWSBA and Illinois State Bar and Decalogue to determine Judges’ fitness for retention or appointment. He is a Court appointed Arbitrator in Cook and Lake Counties and volunteers to judge high school and law school trial advocacy and moot court competitions.
