One of the things I've learned in life is to fight. Fight for what's right. Fight for what you believe in. Fight for dignity and respect. Fight for the ones you love and for those who need you. Fight for the common men and women. I will fight for you.
Michael B. Shaw (Mickey) is a seasoned and aggressive attorney with the firm's Personal Injury Department, representing and advocating for those who sustained serious injuries because of another person's negligence. Mr. Shaw focuses on motor vehicle accidents, fall incidents due to poor property maintenance, dog bites, catastrophic injuries, and other matters where individuals were injured by another's careless acts.
Mr. Shaw also specializes in funeral home negligence. He has successfully advocated for surviving family members in situations where a funeral home, crematory, or cemetery mishandled and disturbed the remains of a deceased loved one. These careless and egregious acts include mishandling or losing a corpse; cremating a corpse prior to funeral services or without authorization; losing cremated remains or providing the wrong cremains; presenting or burying the wrong corpse; improper embalming or burial; excessive decomposition; and burial in the wrong plot, to name a few. Mr. Shaw implements an innovative approach for these unique and unconventional cases, striving to provide mourning family members with justice and closure.
Mr. Shaw earned his B.A. with honors in communications and political science from Quinnipiac University, and his J.D. from Albany Law School. He then served as Law Clerk for the Honorable Mark A. Troncone in the Law Division for the Superior Court of New Jersey, Ocean County. Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Shaw gained experience as a litigation attorney for well-respected Personal Injury firms where he represented clients who were seriously injured.
