Mish Miera-Rosete is a tenacious litigator dedicated to helping people seek justice. He is an associate at MMLC P.A., with experience in a variety of the firm’s practice areas including medical malpractice, products liability, bad-faith insurance practices, and trucking collisions.
Mish went to law school because he wanted to find a way to use his education to make a positive impact in his community. In law school, he served for three years as a board member of the Mexican American Law Student Association, which is a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to increasing diversity in the legal profession. He also served as the Managing Editor for the University of New Mexico Law Review and received multiple awards for achieving the highest grades in law school classes including in the Evidence and Trial Practice class where students learn the rules of evidence by litigating a mock trial. Upon graduation, he was awarded the Dean’s Award for Service to the Law School Community and accepted a position as a law clerk with the New Mexico Supreme Court.
Mish worked at several well-regarded civil defense firms during law school but always felt that he could be doing more to use his education to directly improve people's lives. So, at the end of his clerkship, Mish made the decision to join MMLC P.A., to help represent everyday people who have been injured by the negligence, greed, and callous indifference of others. Helping clients stand up to corporate giants and powerful wrongdoers is Mish’s passion. He has been able to help the firm’s clients win multiple multi-million dollar appeals, achieve life-changing compensation and policy changes through settlements, and volunteer as a pro-bono special prosecutor to assist the Second Judicial District Attorney’s office in prosecuting the accused sex offenders.
Mish has been recognized as Top 40 under 40 Civil Plaintiff’s attorney by The National Trial Lawyer, received an Alumni Achievement Award from the National Speech and Debate Association, and an Unsung Hero Award from his hometown newspaper, The Taos News. He serves on the Board of Directors of the New Mexico Trial Lawyers Association and as the Editor-in-Chief of its publication The New Mexico Trial Lawyer. He is also an active member of the American Association for Justice and the New Mexico Hispanic Bar Association.
In his free time, Mish enjoys cooking delicious meals; visiting with friends and family; spending time outdoors; listening to his favorite rap songs; and enjoying time with his wife and their rescue corgi.
