Paul Bitetti joined Liakas Law in 2023. In his first year with Liakas Law Paul handled nearly one dozen trials and obtained multiple seven-figure verdicts / settlements. In 2023, Paul was nominated by the Columbian Lawyers Association to serve on the Independent Judicial Screening Panel, where he interviewed judicial candidates seeking nomination for the New York State Supreme Court.
Prior to joining Liakas Law, Paul worked for another New York Plaintiff’s Law Firm, where he managed complex labor law, premises liability, motor vehicle and FDNY cases, while also handling trials. Paul graduated from St. John’s University School of Law in 2020 and was awarded the Dean’s Award for Excellence in Criminal Defense Litigation. In addition, while at St. John’s, Paul was the Notes and Comments Editor for the Journal of Civil Rights and Economic Development. Paul also had the opportunity to intern with the Appellate Division of the New York Supreme Court, First Judicial Department.
Prior to attending law school, Paul attended the University of Detroit Mercy on an Athletic Scholarship. Paul was a two-time captain of the men’s lacrosse team and was awarded first team all-conference honors three times. In addition, Paul was named a United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Scholar All-American and was a member of both the University’s Dean’s List and Athletic Director’s Honor Roll all four years. Following his graduation, Paul was drafted to the Major League Lacrosse franchise, the Atlanta Blaze.
