Phillip Murphy is a lifelong Kansas Citian and is very active in the community, volunteering his time to such local organizations as Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Kansas City and the American Royal, where he has served on the board of governors. Phillip is a member of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, the Missouri Association of Trial Lawyers, and active in the Kansas City Chapter of the National Employment Lawyers Association.
Mr. Murphy has been honored by the National Trial Lawyers, as one of their statewide Top 40 Under 40, every year from 2012-2018, and in 2016 was recognized as one of its top 100 mass tort attorneys; he has been named a Rising Star by Super Lawyers, from 2013-2018; he is a member of the Kansas Inn of Court, the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, and the Kansas City Chapter of the National Employment Lawyers.
Mr. Murphy is licensed to practice in Kansas and Missouri. A 2008 graduate of the University of Kansas, School of Law, Mr. Murphy also has a Bachelor of Arts from St. Louis University in 2005, is a 2001 alumnus of Rockhurst High School, and is a lifelong resident of Kansas City.
