Mr. Sarmiento graduated from Williams Patterson University in New Jersey with a degree in Political Science and attained his Juris Doctor degree from St. Thomas University School of Law in Miami, Florida in 2002. Mr. Sarmiento began his career as Assistant State Attorney with the Office of the State Attorney for the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida located in Miami, Florida. As an Assistant State Attorney, Mr. Sarmeinto has prosecuted all types of criminal cases from misdemeanor crimes, DUI cases to serious violent crimes and drug trafficking cases. Prior to leaving the office, Mr. Sarmiento was a felony division chief responsible for the supervision and litigation training of younger prosecutors.
As a member of Richard Baron & Associates, Mr. Sarmiento uses the skills he has developed as a prosecutor to aggressively defend and prosecute many of the firm’s criminal, civil and family law cases. It is Mr. Sarmiento’s diverse experience that allows him to successfully navigate cases through the often turbulent litigation process.
