And so, for over 40 years, Rick has made it his mission to ensure every client, no matter their background or financial circumstances, has a legal team that truly fights for them. Today, as managing partner, Rick isn’t just a name on the letterhead — he remains actively involved in every case, ensuring that each client gets the dedicated support they deserve. His dedication to his clients and ability to secure seven-figure case resolutions have earned him a reputation as one of Ohio’s leading litigators.
Experience
Rick’s legal career was shaped by his deep-rooted commitment to justice, a value instilled in him by his father and grandfather, both of whom were judges.
After earning his law degree and a Master’s in Taxation from the University of Akron, Rick launched his career in 1982 and has since handled thousands of cases across personal injury, wrongful death, commercial litigation, and mass torts.
Throughout his career, Rick has represented clients in state and federal courts across Ohio, including the U.S. District Court for the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
Outside the Office
Rick has been an active supporter of youth athletics, previously coaching junior and high school baseball, and remains engaged in professional legal associations that work to advance justice for all Ohioans.
An avid cyclist, Rick also enjoys spending time outdoors and maintaining an active lifestyle.
