Robert Sean McEvoy
Truck Wreck Justice PLLC - GA
Atlanta,
 GA

Sean has dedicated his practice to the representation of families that have suffered catastrophic injuries or have lost a loved one at the hands of negligent transportation and trucking companies. Sean uses his past experience and knowledge to evaluate, plan, and prepare cases to secure the best compensation for each of his clients. He has been involved in trucking cases in more than 27 states and has helped his clients obtain more than 100 million in settlements and judgments.

After obtaining a record settlement for the death of a pedestrian struck by a FedEx Ground tractor-trailer, he has been focusing on claims against FedEx Corp. and its family of transportation companies, many of which "farm" out transportation services to third-party companies. Unfortunately, the third-party companies often lack the resources and/or knowledge to properly train, supervise, and discipline bad drivers, leading to preventable crashes with disastrous results.

But it all began thirty years ago, when Sean began his legal career at a law firm that specialized in defending railroad, intermodal, and commercial motor carriers. From this experience, Sean gained important insights into the inner workings of insurance and transportation companies. More importantly, he learned how these companies respond to catastrophic accidents, analyze claims for settlement, and prepare for trial. He took that knowledge and began a career pursuing justice for innocent victims, whose lives were forever changed and even lost.

As an attorney, Sean has successfully overcome appeals and has tried cases to verdict in multiple state and federal courts. One of his trademarks is his ability to analyze complex fact patterns and to develop creative, legal approaches favoring his clients. That expertise and his “out of the box” thinking have often led to solutions to problems that others have missed. As a result of his three decades of success, attorneys from across the country have sought his counsel and involvement in their own trucking cases, especially those involving FedEx.

When Sean is away from the office, he spends most of his time with his family. He and his wife, Emily, grew up in Atlanta and attended The Marist School. Emily is employed as an Occupational Therapist by the Gwinnett County School System in the Special Education Department. She works on a day-to-day basis with special needs children and is active within the community, providing further assistance to families of special needs children. Sean and Emily have two adult children, Emma and Hudson.
