Robert Underwood is the founder of Underwood Law, LLC. Throughout his career, he has been first and foremost, a trial attorney. Robert focuses his practice on seeking justice for railroad employees hurt on the job; individuals who have been involved in motor vehicle and railroad related collisions; those who have been injured on the water in boating collisions; seamen and crew members on ships and vessels covered by the Jones Act, and; individuals harmed as a result of chemical spills and toxic torts. In addition, he has represented individuals harmed in tractor-trailer and trucking related collisions. After graduating from Campbell University with a degree in Trust Management Robert attended law school at Samford University's Cumberland School of Law. While at Cumberland he devoted the vast majority of his time to learning and sharpening his trial advocacy skills. He was appointed as an Executive Member and Director to the nationally recognized Trial Advocacy Board. As a result of his accomplishments, he was recognized by the International Academy of Trial Lawyers as a law student as well as being named a National Member of the Order of Barristers. In fact, the skills learned in school have been put to the test in the courtroom. He has tried multiple cases to verdict in several different states, including Florida, North Carolina and Tennessee. In addition to being licensed in those states, he also frequently handles cases in Georgia, South Carolina and Illinois. In fact he has handled cases as far north as Chicago and as far south as Miami. In addition to his trial work, Robert has been repeatedly asked to speak in seminars to the legal profession on litigation related topics for the Florida Justice Association. He has also served as co-chair of the Al Cone Trial Advocacy Institute.
