A native of the San Francisco Bay Area, Mr. Knutson is a nationally recognized litigation and trial attorney. Mr. Knutson is a graduate of Sonoma State University, Cum Laude (BA History, Latin American Studies, 2012), and Golden Gate University School of Law (JD, 2015).
Mr. Knutson opened his own firm at Knutson Law Offices in 2019, focusing in the areas of civil rights litigation, real estate and landlord/tenant, and estate and elder law/conservatorship litigation. Mr. Knutson works directly with clients to provide quality legal services and representation before and at trial. Also committed to the public good, Mr. Knutson’s practice further incorporates mental health law and litigation on behalf of those with mental illness and their families, as well as policy work in this area.
Over the course of his career, Mr. Knutson has worked at numerous prosecutors offices, civil litigation firms, and public interest oriented organizations. He brings more than a decade of expertise in both civil and criminal matters to his firm with an eye towards providing personalized attention to each individual he serves and their legal needs. He knows the value of personal relationships and strives to build and maintain them with each of his clients.
Having lived in, worked in, and visited nearly a dozen countries, Mr. Knutson is fluent in Spanish and understands the global and social context behind every legal problem, no matter how small or large. His understanding of the judicial system and work in community social and political issues gives him a unique edge in understanding the dynamics of any case.
