Spencer Speed is a dedicated trial attorney who focuses on helping individuals and families who have
been injured by the negligent conduct of others. Mr. Speed’s current legal practice at Abraham Watkins
focuses on a wide variety of personal injury matters, including automobile and trucking collisions,
premises liability incidents, product liability cases, and wrongful death claims.
Always driven to achieve justice for his clients, Mr. Speed is a zealous advocate who thrives for holding
individuals and large companies liable for their reckless conduct and negligent practices.
Prior to joining Abraham Watkins, Mr. Speed worked for a prominent Houston law firm specializing in
medical malpractice, product liability, and other personal injury claims. Mr. Speed grew up in Dallas,
Texas. He received his bachelor’s degree in political science from The University of North Texas and his
law degree from South Texas College of Law. While in law school, Mr. Speed was a member of the
College’s nationally recognized elite trial advocacy program where he earned numerous awards in
courtroom competitions, including the Best Attorney Advocate Award at the American Association for
Justice Trial Competition. After graduating from law school, Mr. Speed was invited to join South Texas
College of Law as a mock trial coach and adjunct professor. He currently coaches mock trial advocacy
teams that compete in national tournaments.
