Mr. Hastings is a Baylor Law School graduate and has devoted his practice to the trial of serious cases for more than 37 years. During that time period, he has tried over 125 matters to jury verdict with numerous multi-million dollar awards for his clients and having several verdict in excess of $10,000,000.00. His experience in the courtroom has resulted in a Top Ten in Texas jury verdict and others which were Top Fifty and One Hundred in the United States. He has been nominated as Trial Lawyer of the Year at both state and national levels and is noted as a top 100 trial lawyer at the national level. He has been named a Texas Super Lawyer and has been awarded a rating of AV preeminent which is the highest possible rating in both legal ability and ethical standards.
Mr. Hastings is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, American Association of Justice, the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, and Attorney Information Exchange Group. He is admitted to practice law in Texas Courts, various Federal Courts, the Texas Supreme Court, and the United States Supreme Court.
Mr. Hastings and his wife Tammy have three children. When not practicing law, he enjoys spending time with his family hunting, scuba diving, and racing his sailboat. His sailing adventures include two races across the Pacific Ocean from California to Hawaii.
