Susan Foxworth Campbell was born and raised in South Carolina. She attended the University of South Carolina earning a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communications with a Finance minor in May 1999. She then was graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law in May 2002, finishing in the top 20% of her class. She is licensed to practice in all South Carolina state courts, the South Carolina District Courts, the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Supreme Court of the United States.

Susan began her career working in Columbia, SC with McCutchen Blanton Johnson and Barnette, handling class actions, car accident cases, and premises liability cases. It was at that firm that one of her cases was heard before the Supreme Court of the United States. The following ten years, she worked for McGowan Hood & Felder, handling car accident cases, premises cases, medical negligence cases as well as antitrust actions. While at this firm, Susan argued and received favorable rulings on behalf of the State of South Carolina before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. AU Optronics Corp. v. South Carolina, 699 F.3d 385 (4th Cir. 2012), petition for cert. filed, No. 12-911 (Jan. 23, 2013) (affirming the district court’s decisions to remand two actions filed by the South Carolina Attorney General against two different companies for violations of South Carolina’s Antitrust Act and its Unfair Trade Practices Act). Ultimately, Ms. Campbell and her co-counsel recovered more than $30 million for the citizens of the State of South Carolina in the LCD-TFT litigation and AWP litigation.

In 2024, Susan joined Derrick Law Firm Injury Lawyers and is putting her 22 years of litigation experience to represent those who need an advocate. Susan’s practice is focused on car and trucking litigation as well as premises cases.

Susan has been married to her husband, Michael, for more than 20 years. They are parents to a wonderful child, Ella Pearl, as well as two dogs and a 19-year-old cat.Â
