Talia M. Marquez is an attorney in Burg Simpson’s Worker’s Compensation Department. Ms. Marquez obtained her J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2023. While at the University of Denver, Ms. Marquez participated in the Criminal Defense Clinic and the Sports & Entertainment Law Journal. During her time at DU, Ms. Marquez was awarded “Best Student Lawyer”, she completed a certificate in Workplace Law, and received the Scholastic Excellence Award in Employment Law.
Prior to joining Burg Simpson, Ms. Marquez served as a legal intern for Chief Judge Michael Martinez in the Denver District Court. Ms. Marquez obtained her B.A. in Journalism from the University of Kansas (2017). While attending the University of Kansas, Ms. Marquez was a member of the track and field team. Ms. Marquez is currently a member of the Worker’s Compensation Education Association.
