Long recognized as one of the country's most prominent trial attorneys, Tom has managed, litigated, and successfully resolved thousands of cases on behalf of both businesses and private individuals.
Tom received his law degree in 1984 from King Hall School of Law at the University of California, Davis. After graduation and passing the bar, Tom joined Haight, Brown & Bonesteel LLP as a junior lawyer and quickly established himself in and outside the courtroom as an effective counselor, litigation manager, and trial attorney. Tom was appointed Co-Chair of the Haight Brown's Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Products Liability Practice Group and developed and managed a multimillion-dollar portfolio of clients, representing some of the world's largest corporations in mass tort and complex products liability matters.
In 2001, Tom was recruited to establish the Los Angeles office of the prominent national law firm of Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP. While at Drinker, Tom continued to litigate high profile products liability and other complex cases around the country.
In 2007, Tom co-founded his own firm, Moore Labriola LLP, which ultimately formed the foundation for The Senators (Ret.) Firm LLP. Tom's current practice focuses on ensuring the safety of children in schools, churches, sports teams, and other public and private entities when kids are exposed to risks the form of abuse, harassment, and bullying. In particular, Tom has been at the forefront of litigation on behalf of victims of negligence by school district administrators in their hiring, supervision and retention of employees who pose a risk to students. Between 2013-2016 Tom was part of a team of lawyers who successfully obtained over $100 million in compensation for dozens of children abused by teachers at three Los Angeles Unified School District campuses.
