EXPERIENCE At just 30 years old, Todd Schafer obtained a jury verdict of $32.5 million on behalf of a mother who suffered brain damage in an accident involving a semi-truck. He is believed to be the youngest lawyer in the country to serve as lead counsel on a case that resulted in a verdict in excess of $30 million. Just nine months later, Mr. Schafer obtained another verdict against a trucking company for $7.1 million. In May of 2017, Mr. Schafer obtained a $2.75 million dollar jury verdict for a young man who suffered a herniated disc in his lower back following a car accident. Notable settlements in 2018 include $2 million for a man injured when rear-ended by a semi-truck, $1 million (policy limit settlement) for a women who suffered a herniated disc when a semi-truck ran a red light, and $1 million (policy limit settlement) for a young man injured by a pizza delivery driver. Also in 2018, Attorney Schafer recovered a judgment in excess of $5.2 million dollars against a trucking company.

In 2019 Mr. Schafer obtained a $5.75 million settlement on behalf of a young man injured by a semi-truck resulting in a mild traumatic brain injury and multiple fractured bones. Also in 2019, Mr. Schafer settled a case for $2 million against a trucking company that rear-ended a woman who suffered a mild traumatic brain injury. Mr. Schafer obtained one other seven-figure settlement in a car accident case where his client suffered brain damage after being rear-ended at a high rate of speed. The case settled for policy limits of $1.5 million.

In 2020, despite the pandemic closing the courthouses for most of the year, Mr. Schafer was able to secure five settlements of $1 million or more for his clients.

In 2021, as soon as courtrooms opened, Mr. Schafer was back in trial obtaining a verdict of $2.84 million for a man who suffered a neck injury in a car crash. Just two weeks later Mr. Schafer would receive another $1 million verdict in a case where the defendant’s highest offer was merely $120,000.

While Mr. Schafer represents numerous clients injured by automobiles, he handles cases in all areas of personal injury and wrongful death.
