The types of cases I handle:

I represent individuals who have been seriously injured and families of deceased victims of negligence. I have a support staff who work with me on all cases. We have a team of talented folks who work on these types of cases every day.  We handle all types of injury cases including car wrecks, premises liability (which means trip and falls, slip and falls, negligent security and victims of criminal attacks), nursing home negligence and medical malpractice amongst other types of injury cases.

My Experience:

I graduated law school with honors. I have practiced law for over 34 years. Early in my career, I represented Fortune 500 companies and other businesses. For 28 years, I have operated my own firm with other lawyers.  I have tried over 100 contested cases in front of a jury, judge or arbitrator.  I have represented clients in over 100 mediations. I have taken/defended approximately 500 depositions or more. I have handled hundreds of hearings.  I have been involved in an estimated 30 appeals.  I estimate I have been in Court in over 100 of the 159 Counties in Georgia. I’ve handled injury/death cases in California, Alabama and Tennessee. NOTHING BEATS EXPERIENCE.

My Qualifications:

I am AV Preeminent rated (the highest rating) by my peers under the Martindale rating system. I am a long standing member of trial lawyer organizations such as Georgia Trial Lawyers Association (GTLA) (Champion Member) and the American Association of Justice (AAJ).

Results:

Unlike at some firms, if you hire my firm for your injury/death case, you hire me. You will not be “assigned” a lawyer. With that assurance, you will know that I have recovered millions and millions of dollars for clients over my career. Those numbers are not what other attorneys in my firm have done. Those are recoveries in my cases. I have recovered by settlement and verdict millions and millions of dollars. Because of confidentiality requirements insisted upon by the Defense, we cannot report the exact amount of recovery in some individual cases.

Why do I do what I do?

I enjoy my profession. I enjoy helping people. Meeting new clients and families. I want to obtain justice for my clients. I want to seek accountability and responsibility under the legal system.  I am excited about my work and coming to work each day.  It is rewarding to help individuals and families get justice. It is a challenge. It is not easy. But it is worthwhile.
