Travis Chin joined Beasley Allen in 2024 and currently focuses on toxic exposure cases such as Camp Lejeune water contamination, RoundUp, Ethylene Oxide, Bisphenol S (BPS), and heavy metals.
A dedicated advocate for justice, Travis believes that attorneys have a responsibility to make quality legal representation accessible to all, regardless of financial means. He is driven by the conviction that denying Americans access to basic legal assistance is the equivalent of denying them their fundamental rights and protections under the law. His commitment to Pro Bono work has earned him recognition, including the Montgomery Volunteer Lawyers Program’s Medal of Samaritan (2022-2024) and being awarded the 2024 Volunteer of the Year for both the Montgomery Volunteer Lawyers Program & Montgomery County Bar.
Committed to service both inside and outside the courtroom, Travis continues to fight for justice, ensuring that those who need it most have a strong and compassionate advocate. As the Southern Legislative Director for Rise, Travis championed civil rights for rape and sexual assault survivors. He assisted in the drafting and passage of the Alabama Sexual Assault Survivors Bill of Rights (2021 HB 137), which created statutory civil rights for survivors of sexual assault and rape.
Before joining Beasley Allen, Travis made significant contributions to cases affecting indigent clients. His work encompassed various areas, including family law, housing, tort, consumer law, contracts, criminal expungements, and immigration law. One of his most impactful cases involved representing a single mother and her three children in an illegal eviction lawsuit. Travis successfully secured a five-figure judgment against the landlord while setting a precedent that landlords cannot unlawfully force tenants from their homes. This case reinforced his passion for protecting vulnerable individuals and ensuring fair treatment under the law.
Travis is an active member of the legal community, participating in several organizations including the Montgomery Bar Association, the Montgomery Volunteer Lawyers Program, Alabama State Bar Volunteer Lawyers Program, the Alabama State Bar where he previously served on the Diversity and Inclusion in the Profession Committee, and the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association where he serves as co-chair for the Pro Bono Committee.
Outside of the courtroom, Travis is also deeply involved in the Montgomery arts community. An avid musician, he serves as a board member and active performer with the Montgomery Symphony Orchestra, where he finds both personal fulfillment and a way to enrich his community through music. In his spare time, Travis also walks the fashion runway with a purpose as a New York Fashion Week model for Rise, with his most recent appearance being Fall 2025.
