Born and raised in East Tennessee, he attended public school in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Like many Tennessean's before him, he eventually made his way to Texas, obtaining a Juris Doctorate from St. Mary’s University School of Law (‘11 J.D.), and licensure from the Supreme Court of Texas to practice law in every District, County, Municipal, and Justice court across Texas.
