Tripp takes pride in helping others obtain justice in cases against powerful corporations. He serves others and believes in his clients’ right to tell their side of the story. In his first case, he helped a family in their pursuit of justice. The jury awarded nearly $4.7 million.
Mr. Segars practices primarily in personal injury, mass tort, pharmaceutical drug and products liability litigation. He currently represents individuals who have been injured by talcum powder products, as well as counties that have suffered as a result of the opioid epidemic. Mr. Segars has participated in a number of multi-district litigations around the country, including serving on the Plaintiffs Steering Committee of MDL 2452 involving the type 2 diabetes drugs Byetta, Januvia, Janumet, Onglyza and Victoza, which have been linked to pancreatic cancer.
Mr. Segars is originally from South Carolina and graduated from Clemson University. Before joining the Diaz Law Firm, he earned his law degree from Mississippi College, where he interned for the Honorable Jess H. Dickinson of the Mississippi Supreme Court and traveled to Wyoming as an intern for the Gerry Spence Trial Lawyers College.
In addition to his work at the Diaz Law Firm, Mr. Segars remains active in both his local community and the legal community. He is a past president of the Phoenix Club of Jackson, an association benefiting the Boys and Girls Club of Central Mississippi, and the Magnolia Clemson Club. Mr. Segars has been a guest attorney on WLBT’s LawCall, a live television program in which attorneys assist callers with legal questions, and he is a member of the Mississippi Bar Association, the American Association for Justice and the Mississippi Association for Justice, where he serves as an officer and sits on the Legislative Committee.
