Tyler Scott Calkins grew up in northeastern Pennsylvania where he learned the value of hard work, liberty, and the Constitution at a young age. He attended Lake-Lehman High School.
Attorney Calkins went on to graduate from King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, PA, with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, and from Widener Commonwealth Law School, in Harrisburg, PA, with his Juris Doctorate.
After obtaining his law license, Attorney Calkins worked for four years in the Lycoming County Public Defender’s Office where he had the opportunity to win favorable results for clients in numerous jury and non-jury trials. During his time as a public defender he tried significantly more cases than any other attorney in the county (with Attorney Gold coming in a close second)! He consistently maintained a high volume of major criminal cases and tried a total of eighteen cases to verdict.
Attorney Calkins was invited to join the National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40 criminal defense trial lawyers in the state of Pennsylvania in 2023 and has maintained membership ever since.
An avid outdoorsman and firearm enthusiast, when Attorney Calkins isn’t trying cases, in his spare time he can be found hunting, fishing, working out, and spending time with his wife, and their cat.
Tyler teamed up with his friend and colleague, Howard, with your rights in mind. When the government has your liberty in its sights, trust the team that has gone to verdict again and again. Trust the team that has seen it all. Trust the team that will fight.
