Tyler first came to Huntington, WV while in law school and decided to make the area his home. From 2010 until 2014, he represented individuals, small businesses, and Fortune 500 companies in a variety of legal matters in state and federal courts across West Virginia and Ohio. He now focuses his practice on personal injury, wrongful death, civil rights, and felony criminal defense.
In 2014, Tyler took a break from practicing law to serve on active duty as an intelligence officer in the United States Army. His assignments were primarily in infantry and special operations units, with the last assignment being to 3d Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment. After leaving active duty in May 2018, Tyler transitioned to serving as a judge advocate with the West Virginia Army National Guard and 2/19 Special Forces Group (Airborne) while simultaneously opening Haslam Law Firm LLC. Tyler completed his military service in 2021.
