I knew early on in life that I wanted to be an attorney. I started my career in the legal field as an office assistant at a general practice law firm in Beaverton, while still in high school. I continued working at that firm, as a legal assistant and as a paralegal prior to graduating from the University of Oregon and then Willamette University College of Law. In law school, I worked as a law clerk for the Oregon Department of Justice in the Child Advocacy Section, focusing exclusively on dependency cases, and was certified to appear in court by my third year, where I was able to represent the State of Oregon at court hearings.
Prior to joining Harris Velázquez Gibbens, I practiced mostly family law and estate planning and administration at a law firm in Beaverton. I found that my practice was becoming more and more family law focused, the longer I practiced, and in 2018, decided to join Harris Velázquez Gibbens to devote my practice solely to the family law field.
I’ve been named as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers for 2020 and 2021. I was named by National Academy of Family Law Attorneys (NAFLA) as one of Oregon’s Top 10 Family Lawyers Under 40. I serve on the Washington County Family Law Bench Bar Committee
My experience in the family law realm, as an office assistant, legal assistant, paralegal and attorney has given me the ability to look at my cases from several different angles. I pride myself in providing my clients with the honest reality of their legal situations while also diligently advocating for their interests.
